The range of testing equipment in this section of the catalogue is in conformity with the new European Draft Standards and the requirements of SHRP (Strategic Highway Research Program) to allow for a more in depth and realistic analysis of asphalt mixes, including in particular the static and dynamic testing.

Description

Unbound soil materials and bituminous mixtures, look set to remain as a constituent materials of road paving for some considerable time to come, being used to withstand the flexural and compressive stresses caused by traffic. Due to the ever increasing intensity of today's traffic conditions there is a demand for higher levels of performance from roads.

As a result, the testing of the road materials needs to look not only at the constituent mix, but the performances characteristics as well.
